"Dance of the Dead"

I'm going to take a not so bold stance and say that this movie looks absolutely awful. You can quote me on that. It looks cliché, low brow and totally unoriginal. I still plan on seeing it. I love teen prom based cinema ie: "You Drive Me Crazy" and god awful zombie regurgitation ie: "Day of the Dead 2008".

Did I see a jumping zombie in the cemetery scene? Right before the one zombo punched through the windshield? Running zombies are one thing, but jumping?

I don't know... I think it could be fun. BD said it was a "Perfect 10", although I stopped reading their reviews after they gave "Frontier(s)" the same score. What a hunk of derivative shit that was.

But Casey, even if you do that you could never match the frightening gingerness of Harry. That guy makes me think Cartman had it right when he talked about ridding the world of the gingervitis.

I really dislike people/websites that have opinions purely because it will benefit them. It is my dream that people will value my magazines opinions on genre films. Fabrications cheapen this dream. Liars...

Watched Dance of the Dead last night

I finally got a chance to see this last night & it was really entertaining. I had a lot of fun with it & it's head & shoulders above a lot of the other crappy zombie movies that are being released.

I still haven't seen "The Movie That Shall Not Be Named" (and I probably never will) but I get the feeling that this is the kind of film that fans would have wanted.

There are some really great special effects, there is character development (in a straight to DVD zombie flick - who woulda thunk it), and quite a few laughs.

Dance of the Dead doesn't break any new ground but it's a fun ride & definitely worth checking out if you're into zombie flicks. I watched this & Night of the Living Dorks back to back. A perfect double bill.
