Monster-Mania 11

I know many BGHers are, much like I, in the New York City area. The end of August brings the eleventh installment of Monster-Mania.

Anyone else going? I've been to a handful of MM cons and I find them to be good times. The guest list doesn't do much for me this time out. I have a huge crush on Robert Englund, so that's always a welcome face to see. I love me a good horror con, so the "special guests" are often secondary.

It's in Cherry Hill NJ. If you happen to be going you should say hi to me. I'll be at a table with my magazine, Paracinema. Fingers crossed that John "Crypt Keeper" Kassir will have his lovely wife Julie Benz in tow.

Decent con

The vendors they have there are usually pretty awesome, and I dig that they have all the celebrities in the same room. I always hate how at Fango cons it's like you're trying to find them in a labyrinth.

Mark and I attended last year's summer show while we were in the midst of bringing the site back online. Very good times.

Of course, there was the whole thing where the bathrooms were broken so we had to go pee in a trailer... that wasn't very fun. It's also where Mark took the infamous picture with Cerina Vincent that has become known as the "most awkward horror celeb picture ever".

I have a friend in Philly that I can stay with and attend this con. I wanted to go to Horror Hound in Pittsburgh but it was just to far for me. Cherry Hill might be doable.

I've been wanting to visit a con since coming back to NY last year but haven't had a chance get. I was thinking about heading over to this one so maybe I'll see you.

Though it does disturbed me that with less than a month to go they still don't have a list of the films or events they'll be showing.

I really wish I could go

I really wish I could go, but this always falls on the same week as our family vacation. Even last year we moved it up a week and MMC fell on the same weekend again. I've never been to one, maybe one of these years-!!

Aim for the head-!!
