Does a "From Dusk Till Dawn" TV series that Robert Rodriguez will be heavily involved in sound awesome to you? I know me too! What if I told you it was going to be on Univision and I was 99% sure it'll be in Spanish? I know I don't know Spanish either but I watch the channel all the time to! I love their stripper/news anchors and the project is just getting off the ground so I think we have enough time to learn the language so we're all going to be good here.

Magnolia Pictures has done gone and picked up the rights to the Israeli film "Big Bad Wolves". The film is written and directed by Aharon Keshales tracks the lives of three men caught up in a series of brutal murders. Keshales also helmed 2010's underground hit "Rabies", which apparently had a lot of really attractive woman in it but also had subtitles so I'm still not sure what to do there.

Juan Carlos Fresnadillo , the guy who directed "28 Weeks Later", has been confirmed to direct "Villain", a new film about two brothers who find themselves lost in the woods. Shia LaBeouf is also set to star in the film and he knows robots so I think we got a winner on our hands here.

Olivia Wilde and Mark Duplass are set to start in a new horror flick from Lionsgate titled "Reawakening". The film focuses on a doctor who discovers how to bring people back to life and the events that follow after he uses it on his daughter. I'm sure there's awful results but if something like this ever comes to be I think we all know that Michael Douglas will be the first one on our lists to bring back to life. Miss you man.

In Real People News:

Where do people accidentally shot their friends in the leg while waiting in line at Starbucks? You bet your sweet ass it's Florida.

Here's a woman who stabbed her boyfriend after he farted in her face during an argument. Yes also in Florida.

Gaming: Bioshock's Fan Made Movie "The Brother's Rapture"

If you're a gamer, no doubt you've at least heard of the absolutely kickass game "Bioshock" from 2K Games and its underwater, fallen utopia of madness, Rapture. You might even be playing the 3rd release in the series, Bioshock Infinite, right now (Well, not right NOW. Right now you're reading my blog, and quite frankly, that's more important than most anything.) Bioshock remains in most gamer's favorite games list because of its creepy, disturbing atmosphere and subject matter, highly interactive environment, engaging characters and replayability value. Don't be ashamed to admit you jumped the first time a Splicer came screaming out of the dark - or perhaps you needed some new underwear after your first experience with a Big Daddy. I think we all did.

Some fans can't get enough of Rapture, and the game only tells part of the tragic story. Before the underwater city of Rapture collapsed beneath itself and Splicers roamed its flooded halls, men and women thrived as they explored beyond the limits of their creative and scientific achievements. But who were they before their society crumbled around them? What was life like BEFORE the fall of Rapture? What went so wrong for its enlightened citizens? Was Rapture the paradise they had set out to create? Or Hell itself? Thanks to the imagination of some great fans, we get to glimpse at life as it may have been for a pair of new citizens, where opportunity & pursuits of happiness had no limits. Or so it seemed.

Album Review: My Dying Bride - The Manuscript

When last we heard from My Dying Bride, just last year, they were continuing to build their legacy with the very good “ A Map Of All Our Failures”. That record was all things My Dying Bride; heavy, doomy, progressive, and singularly theirs. They are one of those rare bands that have carved out a sound entirely their own, and when you hear it, you know exactly who it is. Not content to let that tome of death/doom gather dust, the band is back already with an EP of songs recorded around the same time, reinforcing everything “A Map Of All Our Failures” brought to the table.

Album Review: Blood Ceremony - "The Eldritch Dark"

During this recent revival of traditional metal, it has become commonplace that any band with blues roots and an analog mentality gets slapped with the label “sounds like Black Sabbath.” While that speaks volumes about the enormity of Black Sabbath’s legacy, it’s also an easy, marketable out for any band that rocks at less than 200 bpm.

Horror Headlines: Monday May 13th, 2013

Red Sea Media has made the smart move of picking up the distribution right to "Squirrels", a new film about a small town being terrorized by the fuzzy little nut munchers. Produced by the same folks that brought you "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter" there's no word on a cast yet but I think if Tiffany is free she's a sure fire lock to play the leading lady. Keep your fingers crossed.

Mother of god. Warner Bros has picked up the rights to Ryan Gosling's directorial debut titled "How To Catch a Monster". Need more? Christina Hendricks has signed on as the leading lady for the film about a mother whose son discovers a secret road leading to the underworld. I swear to god my keyboard just burst into flames from all this sex.

Salma Hayek is confirmed to be starring in "Everly", a new film from the one and only Joe Lynch. The film is about a woman who must fight her way through a horde of assassins sent by her mob boss ex. What's the interesting point here is that the entire film will be shot in one room which now that I think of it makes me think this entire thing was just one big creepy way for Joe Lynch to be able to lock himself in a room with Selma Hayek for a month.

Joe Dante is teaming up with Simon Pegg for a big screen adaptation of "Casting the Runes" by M.R. James. The story follows a blogger who's investigating the suicide of a celebrity and the self help guru connected to the death. The story was originally written close to 100 years ago which is amazing because they didn't even have the internet back then so how the hell would anyone know what a blogger is? This James guy must have had ESPN or some crap.

In Real People News:

A 31 year old sex ed teacher in Texas is accused of having sex with two 13 year old students. Seems kind of obvious really.

A Phoenix woman is under arrest after she killed a man by running him over with her car and then called 911 to report the damage. Yes she was drunk and yes her mug shot is amazing.
